Railway Rebels
Friday, June 27, 2014Where I live sometimes you have to look a bit harder to find the natural beauty; over look the hard exterior, graffiti and you can find some wonderful sights.
A few weeks ago now, on a lovely Saturday night myself Abbs and Kate decided to go for a walk. To begin the summer they took me to a place I'd only ever heard of but never been to and had no idea where it was. They took me to an old railway; you see Abbie and Kate are have what I shall call the artist eye. Both are unbelievably talented artists as well as having a great photographic eye. After walking along the canal we climbed up the wall of steps, climbed through the hole in the railings, then scrambled through the bushes and branches. Finally we came out onto the old railway; Abbie brought her camera, Kate had her phone and iPod like me. Me being my tubby, clumsy self did take up a bit more time by looking out for rats (worst fear), nettles (painful), then trying to hop over the track in general.

Some people may read this and think 'what stupid kids' or 'that's so dangerous' but we did know that the track had not been used for a number of years and where not trying to cause ourselves any harm.
(My photo: the view from the track; with the canal, graffiti and sky).
Could possibly be viewed as crap or pointless; however, I like it. It shows that no matter whether you live in a rougher area or high class area if you look in the most unlikely places you can find some hidden gems.
(Taken by Abbie: Daisies)Besides the picture of all of us as well as the sky (it was very pretty that night) this has to be my favourite! It looks to me like a photo you'd find on tumblr and doesn't seem real! Personally, I'm obsessed with daisies or anything daisy print; I just think they're very dainty but simple and lovely!
As I write on this blog you may hear Abbie, Kate and Laura's name come up a lot! We have big plans for the summer, because this blog is to help me get experience for what I'd like to do in the future I intend to write about our adventures!
