Yes, I realise we're over a month (nearly two) into 2018. Classic me, better late than never.

This is a post I didn't think I'd be writing.

Being honest, I'd sort of given up on most things. Including this blog.

2017. What can I say? It was a strange year, it had ups and major downs but I'm back and trying to be better than ever. Will 2018 be my year.

This blog has been majorly unloved over the past couple months and sometimes these things happen.

Hopefully, I'll be getting back into blogging with a post a week; this depends on whether I have something to write about as well as having the time. The content of SmileyBlondeee is not something I want to produce for the sake of it, only if I want to share.

Since I have been behind, I'll be sharing some of the thing I managed to do both this year and last with some cute photos and info. Plus, I've got lots of cool things coming up- I'll talk about these in a follow up post.

International Women's Day has been observed since the 1900s, a time when there were turbulent changes in society and the rise of radical ideologies. A collective day of global celebration and unity, a call for gender equality. Although are progress from then to now is amazing, it's sad to know that over 100 years later women are still effectively controlled by patriarchy and the fact that they're a woman not a man!

I think that this IWD is different to previous years, simply because Donald Trump is the President of the United States. Remember when he said Clinton was disgusting for going the bathroom, if women choose to fight for their country sexual assault should basically be expected, how about the fact it's all good to rank women by looks. These are just a few of many and perhaps the one that angered women the most was the fact that if we have an abortion we should be punished. I don't really want to go on one big rant but a woman's body is her own and whatever reason she may have an abortion for is her own personal business.

On a positive note, women have shown such strength. January saw the Women's March, I only wish I could've been apart of one; it was humbling to see all of the support given to women and men marching all over the world. After all our place is in the resistance, fighting for our rights and it has been for such a long time!

I class myself as a feminist, I completely support the concept of feminism- the advocacy of women's rights on the ground of equality of the sexes. However, it's hard to define and all we can do is keep learning about it to develop our understanding. Feminism is about liberation, choice, freedom, equality- feminism is different for everyone but women should support each other.

A lot of women inspire me to be a feminist, to be proud and to strive until I get wherever I need to. Tanya Burr, Lea Michele, the PLL girls (Troian, Lucy, Ash, Shay), Adele are just a few but they're all celebs, in terms of real people one person stands out to me. Our Sal, the best English teacher you could ask for, a role model and inspiration! Sal introduced me to poetry, plays and feminism- I wouldn't be as passionate about women's rights today if it wasn't for her. Lauren would agree with me, she's all about politics and it's been a pleasure to see her motivation for all things women evolve in these past two years.

Whether you're a feminist, a supporter or not. Surely it's common knowledge that equality is necessary, whether someone is male, female, gay, straight, bisexual, black or white because we're all human. The fight isn't about who's 'winning' or who's gained the most power, it's about equality. WE ARE ALL EQUAL, LET'S FIGHT!

The month of February is here! My birthday, Valentines and Harry's birthday, I love February. Back to January, here's my January favourites.

Beauty
Rimmel Match Perfect Foundation
Mine is obviously the lightest shade- light porcelain. Before buying this I hadn't looked at any reviews etc etc. The foundation I was using was too dark, I picked this one up because it was cheap and everyone trusts Rimmel. I didn't expect much but I like it a lot; the colour is good (could be a little lighter), it smells pretty good and has a nice coverage. It glides on easy as well as being quite cooling on my skin when first applied, now I want to try the matching concealer in the range.

NYX Professional Makeup Lip Lingerie Lipstick
Bedtime Flirt. Oh my lord, I'd wanted to try the lingerie range for the longest time and finally bought two shades in very late December. Bedtime Flirt is a pinky toned nude, it's so good for everyday wear and very wearable. I do recommend using a lip scrub before and after wearing it though, just to keep yourself hydrated. The lingerie lipsticks have a texture that reminds me of mousse, I suppose this sounds super strange but try it and you'll understand. I also bought Embellishment, on me this looks purple toned and is really cool when I want to add a little something to a plain outfit.

Sleek Highlighter Eye Palette- Solstice
First, I didn't know this was also a palette for eyes, unless we're talking inner corner highlight. I bought this palette last year after seeing it on YouTube and loved it, I stopped using it because I kind of thought it was too much. However, in January I've learnt you can never have too much highlighter. The pearly pink and orange shades are my fave, I never use the cream or yellow that much but I'm going to start trying. Head over heels with this, well worth the hype.

Viva La Juicy Perfume
Viva La Juicy is such a sweet, girly fragrance. Not sickly sweet, just enough! Fruity and fresh with a hint of vanilla, it's luxurious and perfect for everyday wear.

Hair
Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner- Bee Strong
If you follow me on insta (beckielees_) then you'll have seen I got the chop. I have a fringe, it grows down to my eyes very fast and I can't see; not going to lie I didn't want my hair as short as it is but I love it. New hair meant new hair care! One thing that really irritates me is that I always get split ends, 2017 is the year of Beckie's strong hair, I bought Bee Strong on a whim and it's amaze. First of all, my hair smells insane for days after using them, I can only describe it as such a yum sent. It leaves my hair feeling super soft and shiny. RECOMMEND.

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Intensive Mask
Do you know why I love this? It takes five minutes, FIVE. Normally it's fifteen to twenty, who has time for that?! I hate coconut (the scent of it, just everything) alas this is heavenly, it's so creamy and you can feel it nourishing your hair. Basically, you're putting a pre-conditioner on you hair and you can just wait for the shower to warm up and BAM ready to take it offer. To be perfectly honest, I feel like this may be the reason why the shampoo and conditioner scent stays for days. I use this once a week on a Sunday and follow it up with the Bee Strong range.

Skincare
Vitamin E Range- The Body Shop
As we all know, Beckie love love loves The Body Shop. The whole Vitamin E Range is my saviour, it's so cooling and softens the skin. Previous to the using the whole range, I only used the toner and eye cream if I can remember correctly, now my saving grace is the day cream in particular. It's not creamy it's almost a gel, makes my red face calm the heck down and is a lovely base for makeup.

Side Note: Sorry that the cream has sort of fell in the picture, I didn't realise until I uploaded!

Vitamin C Energising Face Spritz- The Body Shop
I use this first thing of a morning after my shower and before skin care. It has a citrus scent which is perfect to wake me up in the morning, it's cool to use throughout the day too- just to freshen the face. Personally, I find it great for dampening my beauty blenders after dampening them or just instead if I can't be bothered to get up and go to the sink. Gross, I know!

Minnie Mouse Ears
This must sound incredibly crazy. I use my Minnie ears to keep my hair off my face when I wash my face, I love Disney lots and these are incredibly handy ways. It's nice to not just keep them sitting in
my room, every time I put them on though I want to go back to Disney very bad!

Meg Says
I will always talk about sweet little Meg. I adore watching Meg because she's timeless and stunning but so real, like a real friend. I feel like Meg kind of knows me now, we tweet each other often and that's what I like; a lot of people wouldn't take the time like Meg but she does. I'd also like to mention her new haircut and how fab she looks in her new video!

Tanya Burr
Tanya is classic YouTube. There's no way I'd ever go off her videos, I've been watching them back recently and just rediscovered my adoration of Tanya.

Bad Things- Machine Gun Kelly ft Camila Cabello
Holy crap. I'd been seeing this advertised all over my Facebook and when I finally gave it a listen, OMG. It's my new jam, I sing Camila's part all the time and listen to it on repeat every day. It's not my usual style but it's Camila's parts that completely besot me.

John Mayer
In general, John is an absolute legend. His new music filled my heart and inspired me to listen to his old albums, Gravity is my all time favourite song- it brings all the feels.

I Don't Wanna Live Forever- ZAYN and Taylor Swift
Big fan of One Direction not so much ZAYN for leaving. However, this song is everything, in case you didn't know I am also a big fan of Fifty Shades; I know they're not good books and the film was average alas it's something I'm a massive supporter of and I'm going to see it on the 10th Feb- MY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Taylor sound incredible and some of her notes are just...wow.

Shadowhunters
Is continuing to shock me. Why is it going so fast? Why have they confused me so much? Why aren't Jace and Clary together yet? Who knows, let's wait and see how this season plays out. No, seriously, what's happening in this show, it's sort of not sticking to the books and is also kind of awful but good at the same time. I just don't know guys.

Movies
T2
YES. T2 was so nostalgic, I loved it. It made me understand I am sort of attracted to Ewan McGregor,  Spud is a legend. The Scottish accent is hard to intemperate but I'm not going to talk anymore because you can read my T2 review.

Split
James McAvoy has such an outstanding performance in this film. Playing a man with twenty three personalities, who kidnaps girls and murders. This is such a stunning yet heartbreaking film. It made me laugh, cry and jump- it delivers in all aspects.

Today means that it's two week until my 19th birthday. I can't even cope, how awful an age is 19. It's just in the middle, boring and not special; almost out of the teens. Anyway, I think writing a birthday wishlist is a good for all you nosey people like me!


Docs
I've wanted these for so long, I bought a Topshop want to be pair that I lived in but they broke a while ago and I just never got round to buying new ones. Docs are such an investment, they're worth the price in my opinion. They last you ages if you take care of them and are such a trusted brand, I'm honestly so excited it's unreal!


Hamilton Tickets
Lin Manuel Miranda, I adore you! Hamilton is pure, pure genius, there's actually nothing I enjoy more than walking to college in the morning with the soundtrack playing away in my ears. When I found out that it was coming to London in October I had to go, my mum got us tickets and we're going next January- I'm over the moon!
Okay, I could just get a normal, cheaper backpack but I know that Vans backpacks last well. I have one that's super pretty and colorful which I use all the time. In fact it's so colorful that sometimes you can't wear it with certain outfits. I want the one in the same style as my current backpack, it's all black and will look super cool with a couple of badges on the front pocket and a little pop vinyl key-ring on the side(which I need to get)!


Hoodie/Cool Sweatshirt
This may seem super strange, I just want a comfy hoodie that is baggy but stylish. I know this is such a simple thing but I don't actually have a hoodie that's I want to wear all the time. The sweatshirt, well I think I've found the dream- I've ordered myself a plain black sweatshirt with a unicorn on the front. Not the tacky, painted pictures, it's sort of emoji style. I'm obsessed with it and cannot wait for it to arrive!
As we all know I collect Pop Vinyls. For Christmas I got quite a few, I'd really like a Fantastic Beasts one but they're quite expensive I think. We'll see.

Bridget Jones Baby DVD
The film I'd waited for, this is the best thing yet. I want to watch it again so much. I NEED THIS. There's nothing else to really say.
A youtuber mentioned this and my response was holy crap. I love highlight, it's my fave part of makeup and this changes colour on your face. I just want it so much, if I don't get it then I'll buy it!

This is just a quick post to say Happy New Year to you all. I had the best night ever, partying with two of my best friends. Turtle Bay was our first stop, we had a few drinks (the Tobago Ice Tea being my favourite) and met some of our friends. Shout out to the waiter who had been in since 11am (at this point it was around half 10) and was going to do a 12 hour shift as a paramedic- a modern hero indeed.

Afterwards, we went to Constellations just past Chinatown for their New Years bash! It was unreal and we had the most fun. We danced on tables in the rain, spoke to some strangers, got freezing cold and had an absolute ball! Of course when it finished we went to McDonalds for the classic 20 box of nuggets. It was such an crazy night, planned on a whim!

Whatever you guys did, I hope you stayed safe and had a brilliant night. I had such a great time with Lau and Abb, I couldn't of thought of anyone better to spend it with- although I wish some of our other friends could of been there. Such an amazing way to start 2017!

TV time is that time of day when we can relax and focus our minds on something other than work, college or school! This year I've been enjoying some of my classic favourites along with some new discoveries.

With last nights tragic news about George Michael, I felt like writing this post just to show some acknowledgement of the loss throughout 2016. Bowie, Alan Rickman, Caroline Aherne, Victoria Wood are just some of the talent we've lost this year. These people shaped our culture, they made us laugh and cry and now they're gone. People who were such a big influence in the creative sector, we'd watch or listen to frequently; they weren't exactly young but they were still taken far too soon.

Bowie, emphasised that we should be ourselves, be quirky, be different. Despite George Michael having some rough patches he was open about his struggle coming to term with the fact he was gay after the end of Wham! in the 1980s- no doubt this helped many young people. Victoria Wood and Alan Rickman, in different types of industry, but both were able to bring out an emotional response from audiences. Terry Wogan, Gene Wilder, Anton Yelchin again just some of the few iconic stars that passed away. People pointed out that these tragedies were happening in groups of three, a spooky yet true fact.

It's unbelievable, the loss that we've seen this year! I suppose, it teaches us to take nothing for granted because people we think have so many years left can be taken in a split second. Hopefully, 2017 won't be as cruel, personally there's no doubt we've all had triumphs and successes this year I know I have. Here's to looking forward for a better 2017!

Today (or at least it is in college) is Mental Health Awareness day, some of you may think that this is the same as world mental health day but it's not. This a day to encourage us all to have more consideration and take the time to learn about mental health. For example, do you know what the difference between mental illness and mental health is?

Our college Equality and Diversity group made the yellow ribbons pictured above, wearing one of these or even just something yellow is a signifier that we all support today. Being ignorant to this isn't going to help anyone, we need to come together to help people get more of an understanding about things to do with mental health.

You may know someone with issues or you may not, why does it matter? Surely helping raise awareness for something so important is what matters. Mental health is something that was mistreated in the past and now, even though we've moved on in modern society, it still has a stigma. That's wrong. Just because a person has suffered from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder or anything else doesn't make them an alien. They'll always be a person.

Although we may just think that mental health effects the mind. It effects peoples lifestyles, their friends, their family and their well being. It can be just as draining as any physical illness and just because you can't visually see what's wrong with people this doesn't mean there's nothing wrong.

I'm not going too much, in fact I'm ending this post now. I know Mental Health Day is almost over but I wanted to show my support and encourage you to do the same.

Today, as I'm sure you'll know is World Mental Health Day. The theme this year is psychological first aid and the support people can provide to those in distress. People don't realise how mental health issues, whatever they may be, touches everyone in some way. From dementia to depression, it's all sad and something we should all help raise awareness for. To sit down and talk to someone is a daunting, what you have or think you have is a deep dark secret locked in a box somewhere in your mine. It's with you 24/7, you can't get rid of it.

I think a lot of people find mental health problems as a subject a touchy topic, I mean there's always a type of person on your Facebook wall that posts a status about feeling depressed- when actually they're probably feeling a little sad. By saying this I don't mean to offend, it's just that if you have a mental health issue you're not going to shout it from the rooftops are you?

Moving on, I know a lot of people with mental health issues find the thought of talking to someone really scary, that's okay. If you read this, you're one of these people, I just want to convey that it may be horrifying but it's the best thing to do. I'm speaking from personal experience, you aren't alone in this! Tell someone and it'll get better.

The irritating thing is that not only are people afraid to speak up because it's personal, others judging them must be one of the most nerve racking thing of all. I can only imagine what must go through their heads;

"What will they think of me?"

"Will they treat me different?"

"What's going to happen?"

"How do I get through this?"

This is what I find most annoying, people shouldn't have to be worried about these things. They should put themselves first and everyone else behind them, at this day in age no one should be anxious about how anyone will judge them if they have a mental health issue or any other issue for that matter! It doesn't make them any different, they get sad or they'll forget things etc etc but deep down they're in there. Alternatively they're creating a new Bob or Bill, starting fresh for the better.

Honestly, you shouldn't care. I know what you're thinking- easy for you to say Beck, it's never happened to you. Yes, I understand,  but if someone doesn't accept you for who you are can you still call them a friend. Anyone who truly loved you would support you no matter what.

To finish I just wanted to write this blog post to make anyone in the dark aware that every year 10th October is World Mental Health Day. Whether it's effected you directly or not, let's all band together to do as much as we can to support a wonderful cause.

I'm currently on my third year of being in college, there are lot of things people expect to happen when you get to college. Here are some of my thoughts and confessions about college life.

If you've been here a looonnggg time you may remember I've done the 25 questions tag before. However, these ones are different and a bit more fun! Let's do this.

1. What's one of your biggest dreams?
Probably to live in  America- California specifically, and get to go to the Oscars, the Golden Globes etc. I don't know why it's just always been something I've wanted to do. The other overshadowing dream is to be a broadway/ west end star but I know that will never happen.

2. Name three things that are physically close to you?
My paperchase notebook, my backpack from my friends for my birthday and my headphones.

3.What's an ideal Sunday for you?
Oooo, there's two types of ideal Sunday's for me. One being going to town and going to the cinema and two being watching PLL all day followed by going to see my Grandad. Most Sunday's now involve seeing my best friends too.

4. Do you drive? If you do have you crashed?
I'm learning to drive, so I haven't crashed but I've stalled many, many times.

5. What time did you wake up this morning?
Properly at 6:55am for college, I did wake up at 5:24am before that though. By no means am I actually an early person.

6. What's one thing in your closet you can't live without?
Probably my denim jacket which I bought from Topshop in April or any type of cardi/jumper.

7.What was the last movie you saw?
If we're talking about cinema wise then it would be Me Before You with Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin. TV wise then it was this weird one my Dad was watching when I got home from a party on Saturday- The Resident.

8. What does your last text message say?
"I've got them" about my earphones.

9.Something physical that stands out?
Nothing really, right now probably my weight. I've lost a lot.

10.Have you ever been to a different country?
Yep, many times. I went on my first holiday when I was like 3 to Cannes. I've been to disney paris 3 times and the one in Anaheim, California when I travelled with my family to see my uncle who lives just outside San Diego. Many other places too.

11. Do you like Sushi? 
No. I just can't get my head around eating raw fish.

12.What song do you secretly like to blast out when you're alone?
'Don't Rain on my Parade.' I first sang it when I was in year 9 and it's always had a special place in my heart.

13.Have you ever taken medication to help you fall asleep faster? 
Nope. I'm not really a medication kinda girl. Only if I'm told to have it by doctors,

14.How many siblings do you have?
Just one sister named Katie. We get on much better now I live with our Dad and her our Mum. She's super funny but can be quite violent and I'd go as far as to say estranged.

15.How would you describe you style?
That's a hard one. Probably quite simplistic really. Shirts, dresses, skirts nothing fancy. I also aspire to dress like a real English student- I couldn't tell you what that looks like that's just what runs through my mind.

16.How old will you be turning on your next birthday?
Turning 19 on the 10th February.

17.Do you wear contacts or glasses?
Glasses because I'm short sighted. I have to wear them when I'm on computers or just staring at a screen to. (I'm not wearing them now though oops)

18.Do you colour your hair?
Not at all. I have blonde hair with natural highlights. I'd love to colour my hair with lilac or something but I'm too afraid I'll hate it or look ugly.

19.Tell me something you're planning on doing today?
Work. College life for you. Read Brighton Rock some more and go to my Grandads for tea.

20.What's the drink you always order at Starbucks?
A classic cuppa of course. Alternatively a cooler or ice tea in the summer. I always love to try the specials too.

21.What did you want to be when you were ten years old?
A writer/ publisher and a magazine editor was in the mix too. I uses to make my own little magazines with pictures from other magazines, I used to harass my friends and family to help me too.

22. What beauty rule to you preach but don't practice?
Don't touch your face. I cannot help it, I do it without thinking. I'm really bad at moisturising too though, sometimes I can't be bothered so I don't.

23.Have you ever had an all nighter?
Me. Never. I'm one of those people who cannot function without sleep. My friends can and I wish I could but I just couldn't.

24.Can you taste the difference between Pepsi and Coke?
Probably not because I don't drink either. I'm a water fanatic. So no.

25.What quote do you live by?
If you can't make lemons then make lemonade, it just makes me think if you can't do one thing do something better. My biggest is Don't judge a book by it's cover, just because I'm a bookworm and I hate people who labels someone without getting to know them first.

Back again!

Arthur Miller has written some fabulous plays, one of my favourites is A View From A Bridge until today it was the only Miller play I'd seen on stage. However, today I embarked on a cheeky trip to Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre to watch The Crucible.

In case you aren't aware of the back story here it is (I did not write this myself it's from the back of the little Crucible leaflet):

Betty Parris lies in a trance after a childish game spins out of control, and accusation of witchcraft are quickly  manipulated by those with something to gain. However, when false allegations reach fever pitch, the devout community of Salem descends into a cauldron of hysteria it can never return from.

Written in the 1950s when the insidious fear of communism gripped America, THE CRUCIBLE is a devastating portrayal of the human cost of tyranny and vengeance.

Besides the play itself being absolutely phenomenal, the Royal Exchange was like nothing I've never seen before! I mean it was stunning. The stage was in the centre and the seats surrounded it going up, we were in the second gallery; I thought this was at the top but I may be wrong. Elly Higgenbottom (did you read my last post) said that the Royal Exchange used to be an old station I want to say and so it's built with the stage and seats in the centre -circular- then when the play is on the outside around it is used as the backstage. How fascinating?!

I applaud the cast for the breathtaking adaptation the provided I mean the performance had us on the edge of our seat, I could of believed they were under the demonic influences the way they were portraying it. WOW. I was a fan of the Irish actors too, I mean those accents *I'm the emojii with hearts for eyes/monkey covering it's mouth/tears^ One sounded like Jamie Dornan...ultimate love.

What I found quite shocking about the play itself is how what may seem like a strong communtiy based around the Parish and it's church can fall apart so easily. It's heartbreaking to see how people would risk their lives to protect those they love and trust but also how you can't always trust those around you.

People can become consumed in what is wrong and lose all aspects of the right, moral thing to do. Shockingly, brilliant and quite genius. Thanks to Miller's words and Caroline Steinbeis awesome direction this was fantastic!

Oh hey you internet friends!

Well, it has been a while since a post like this were we chat hasn't it?! That's because it's been book reviews and promoting my favourite Etsy shop Mind Through Ink. Anyway, this is like our little chat post, alternatively I talk in a chatty way then if you choose to you'll read this.

True Beauty

'Our Sylvia' -the title of this post- may seem ambiguous to the majority of those who dare read this blog unless you know me. See I'm talking about Sylvia Plath! 'Who?' You may wonder...well only one of the most (if not the) wonderful woman ever. I admit my love for Sylvia has only just been with me a couple of weeks, although I have a feeling it may become slightly obsessive; you see I do English Lit and we've been reading the Bell Jar (upcoming review soon), now I appreciate Sylvia so much. Her writing is so unbelievably real, with so much feeling! Ahhhh I love Sylvia!

Happier Times

I have to say I wouldn't have even heard of Sylvia if it wasn't for my English teacher, who for now we'll call Elly Higginbottom. Elly absolutely is completely the one to go to about our Sylvia, literally Elly could tell you everything...like a Sylvia hero. I'd go as far to argue that if you scorned Sylvia Elly would be the warrior in her corner- along with myself! Inspiring is Elly. Don't even get me started on Ted Hughes either *my face becomes considerably mean with dagger eyes as I type his name* eurgh, was he Sylvia's downfall???

To sum up a few things about why I love Sylvia, here's some bullet points:

• Her voice- weird as it may seen if you listen to Sylvia recite her poems on YouTube it's kind of like listening to a disney villain. No seriously. Slightly scary but you can't tear yourself away.
• Poetry- Oh gosh. Sylvia's poetry is the most amazing poetry I have come by, don't get me wrong I now am an avid lover of poetry but hers just is stand out.
• Esther- Sylvia gave us Esther. I think Esther is a character who everyone can just relate to, don't judge because we all have our own problems and we're all human.
• The Ted situation- Personally, I believe Sylvia put Ted in his place as she was whilst still proves to be a strong, independent woman. YOU GO GIRL!
• Her story- Sylvia's life story makes you want to cry, laugh, smile and just give her hug. She was so many things and broke so many walls. Not gonna lie, I think she could of broke the glass ceiling by now

If you live in Liverpool and were in town on Wednesday 5th August just gone and you seen the huge queue outside Waterstones, I was there. That's righ,t I was there with my sister waiting to meet You tuber Marcus Butler  on his Hello Life book tour.

I love Marcus! I mean if you watch him then you'll know how funny he is and between me and you he is beautiful; I love the way he treats his You Tuber/blogger girlfriend Niomi Smart, oh and his friendships with all the other You Tubers. Just cuteness. I'm so excited to read Hello Life because I just know it'll be just a all Marcus (obviously) when I say this I mean his humour jokes, inspiring stories, fab advice. #realness

Marcus was as sweet in person as we see him in his videos, guys I have hugged and conversed with Marcus so there's a God. I'm still lost for words because aw I just love him so much, btw he smell really nice to. Marcus did have to take our selfie as my arm are too small since I'm like the size of a two year old. He even came out before he started seeing us, ran a bit down the queue to vlog and wave then it began. Personally, I also got really excited to find out some of the gleam team were there, how nice was it that they came out and thanked us for waiting too! Everyone was just so kind.

I'll set the scene...Liverpool Echo Arena 2013, a 15 year old me, the floor section, Morgan by my side, this was the first time I ever saw 5 Seconds of Summer supporting One Direction on tour. Since then I'd never seen them live again until last Tuesday and Wednesday, both dates were truly epic!

I'm sure we all remember first seeing Ariana Grande on that Nickelodeon show Victorious that seems so long ago now and then of course when it finished some of us may have moved on to watch Sam and Cat. That was me, I can always remember most of all being stunned by Ariana's singing voice, like seriously unbelievable in my opinion. So I've followed her for a while and was excited when she released her debut album 'Yours Truly' in 2013  and then followed by 'My Everything' in 2014, for me her voice just has something extra special. It reminds me of Mariah Carey in some ways but it has a magical quality, it's hard to believe that it's actually real sometimes; her voice is something else- the notes, pitch, tone, the various ways she can use it.

Well anyways I was uber excited when she announced she was doing a tour that wasn't just in America, although even then I never thought I'd get tickets because you know she's so popular; also I assumed they'd be far out of my price range. Then came the next hurdle! Even when I found out there was a possible chance I could go I was in sociology lesson when they came on sale but luckily enough one god sent of a friend Morgan and her sister Shan bought me a ticket!

June 4th was one of the best nights ever! Ariana's performance was unreal, everything I expected and more. From the costumes to the dancing it was just phenomenal, I know this isn't the greatest description but that's partly because I literally could not describe what I experienced it was really amazing but a bit of blur to. Do you know what I mean? When you go to a concert or experience something it's so unbelievable it seems like a dream.

OMG! I almost forgot to mention the support act! One of my favourite bands Rixton, I'm sure you've heard of them but if not check them out. In fact I'll post some links at the bottom to take you to their latest single!

If you follow YouTube then you might watch or have heard of Connor Franta, an American vlogger. internet personality and as of April 21st  this year a published writer. With over 4.4 million subscribers and a TCA for choice web star under his belt Connor's life has considerably changed in the years since he started his channel.

In the past couple of days Connor has been in the UK promoting his debut book 'A Work in Progress' on a book tour, I was lucky enough to meet him today at one of his signings with my friends Joel, Morg and Lau, we waited for at least an hour probably a bit more outside of waterstones with a bunch of other fans; we seen a lot of girls in tears, clearly very overwhelmed that Connor's face was quote 'so much more perfect in person' it was really quite amusing.

When we got into the actual store we were given our book and poster had then we had to wait a bit longer in the cue (photo on the left) but then we finally got to meet him! It was quite quick for each person, unsurprisingly it was my phone that the staff couldn't work- but lucky enough they did take pictures on Joel's phone. So happy. Connor was really nice! Yes, he is much cuter in person as well as that his voice was so much deeper in person like not as high as you'd expect!

First, I'm so chuffed with that little pun in the title. Now the tale, over the Easter break I went with my fave people to the beach/woods and had the best time! It felt so great to do something that had been talked about forever and we finally did it. Me and Abb and Lau did kinda get the wrong ticket and then get off at the wrong station but one thing I love about anything I do with my friends is we always laugh the little things off and find the positives.
