New Year, New Me....Or Not!
Friday, January 02, 2015Being completely truthful I have never really bothered with resolutions or that cliché thing of 'new year, new me'- I mean I can't imagine people actually completely change themselves, move away from everything and everyone, but hey you know I'm probably wrong and if that's you then I'm all for it as long as it benefits you. Personally, I don't set resolutions because if I set them I imagine myself not to carry them out, as for the new me thing I'd rather say that I've learnt from 2014 and know what not and what to do in 2015.
Nope, no resolutions just a list of things I'd like to do:
1) Walk more- I love to walk and I'd like to try to do more of it.
2) Try new foods- last year I tried to encourage myself to be open to experiencing new tastes and flavours, I really hope to keep that up.
3) Go to the gym- no this is not a thing about changing myself or anything like that I genuinely enjoy the gym! I think it makes you happier physically and mentally and it's fun!
4) Harry Potter Studios- I definitely want to go to Harry Potter Studios in London with my two bests, Harry Potter was a big part of my life as a kid and the obsession really came back recently!
5) Smoothies- I was so happy to have gotten a blender for Christmas which I'm so excited to use!
6) Writing/blog- If you've been reading my blog or seen my twitter you may be aware that recently was fortunate enough to get an article on women's sport that I wrote for a local team published in their programme, in the college magazine. It provided a lot more views for this blog which was great and I'd like to keep it up.
I don't like calling these resolutions then I feel that putting that word to them gives it a bit of pressure, I think it's better that they're all things that I've already started or looked into. I want to let everyone know that whether you set yourself resolutions or not just do what makes you happiest, happiness is the best thing for us all anyway!
