What we think of ourselves?
Sunday, June 21, 2015We all know that it's easy telling other peoples good qualities but when it comes to discussing our own it's hard, whether we're writing a CV or for some sort of application. Sometimes it can be because you have a completely blank mind, some people are too humble and sometimes we simply just really struggle to think of how to describe ourselves because we don't think genuinely that we're that different from other people. The latter is the kind of sad one really. I mean we're all special and unique in our way! Ask your friends, they love you for many different reasons but sometimes certain people just need to hear it more than others.
On Tuesday this week I went to Rise, we discussed our talents and skills, our hobbies and the things we enjoyed. Then we used a piece of paper and passed them round, writing down one word or a few writing what we thought of each other; you could deny it all you want but I believe that sometimes even if we don't need it, it's always a pick me up to read lovely comments from other people about what they like about us!
Above is what we did, each of us got a canvas made a wordle, word art piece thing (as you can tell I don't really know the term), I'd seen these on Pinterest and Tumblr a lot and loved them but never considered making one myself, everyone's were so different yet each individual one was so so good! I think every once in a while (or heck everyday) reminding yourself of your talents and qualities is a fab thing to do because it reminds us that we're all special just being us and equally as important as everyone else around us.
Closer up, bit brighter- same canvas. |
I suggest you and your friends make your own word art canvas thingy! All you need is a canvas, some pens, paints and your imagination. It's a super fun activity you can do together, thinking about it maybe you could make one for someone else as a cute little gift to cheer them up or for a birthday.
